Founder & Managing Partner
Founder of Vanquish with three decades of experience leading consumer companies across the U.S. and Latin America.
Throughout his career, he held senior operating roles with full P&L responsibility across multiple categories and geographies.
He has since backed and successfully exited more than 25 consumer businesses, bringing an operator’s mindset and a practical approach to value creation, scale, and long-term growth.
Pedro is a seasoned executive with a distinguished global career spanning the corporate and public sectors in LatinAmerica, the USA, and Europe.
He was CEO of the Costa Rica Trade and Investment Promotion Authority PROCOMER in 3 different Governments. He led Costa Rica’s exports, free trade zones and foreign direct investment attraction strategy and execution.
Under his leadership, PROCOMER was acclaimed as the "Best Trade and Investment Promotion Organization in the World" for eight consecutive years (2015-2023).
Jorge brings over 30 years of experience across emerging markets, private equity, and hedge funds.
He spent more than two decades at Sigma Ventures Capital, a $1B+ AUM family office, where he led investments in global equities, distressed debt, and alternative assets.
Most recently, he spent eight years as a private portfolio manager focused on public and private market opportunities across the U.S. and Europe.
Francis is a member of our investment team, supporting Vanquish in sourcing opportunities and executing deals.
Before joining Vanquish, Francis worked at a family office, focusing on investments and identifying entrepreneurial opportunities for new business development.
He holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship from Loyola Marymount University.
Sophia Murillo López is responsible for overseeing all legal matters at Vanquish, with a focus on deal structuring, regulatory compliance, and cross-border transactions. She brings over a decade of experience advising national and international clients across corporate, tax, and investment law, including prior roles at leading regional law firms and a Big Four accounting firm. Sophia holds a law degree from the University of Costa Rica and an LL.M. in International and European Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Sergio leads digital transformation efforts across Vanquish Equity and its portfolio, drawing on more than a decade of experience in digital strategy, marketing automation, and technology infrastructure.
He has managed end-to-end implementation of digital ecosystems for public and private sector organizations, with a focus on scalable platforms, data-driven performance, and user-centered design. Before joining Vanquish, Sergio led major digital initiatives at Costa Rica’s Trade Promotion Agency (PROCOMER) and advised over 20 startups and SMEs across the U.S. and Latin America.
He holds master’s degrees in Digital Marketing and Business Administration, along with advanced certifications in analytics, digital media, and agile methodologies.
